Adiraj had just finished another round of discussion with the landowner. The negotiation had dragged on for nearly half an hour, the price going back and forth between the two men until, at last, they managed to settle on an amount both were willing to accept. The notary, who had travelled from the city specifically to complete the registration, pushed the papers across the table.
Adiraj picked up the pen and signed without hesitation. The man sitting opposite him pressed his thumbprint onto the document, sealing the agreement after receiving the payment. With that, another piece of land was officially in Adiraj's name.
